#WritersLife Survey 12 - Writing is Scary!

I feel really lame this year. No pumpkins, no fall decor, no Halloween decorations... As my boys keep getting older, they don't care about these things as much. The wonder and excitement is gone to sarcastic teenage apathy. Ugh.

Ah well. I still have pumpkin flavored everything and candy to give out. Halloween is what you make it, right? And I have this fun-filled spooky survey treat for you guys... enjoy!

Thanks for playing! I love finding out who likes what and sharing it with everyone.
Hope your October is full of bone-chilling thrills and tasty treats!

PS - My quarterly newsletter came out this month AND Thanks to those signing up to with my form for DISPOSAL's release coming up November 14. I might have to forego a survey for November... we shall see.

We don't celebrate it anymore and rarely get kids at the door. I do like horror movies. (Although I didn't pick it in survey because more gore doesn't make a horror story better.)

Ooh, fun survey. Sorry to hear your sons are so apathetic about Halloween anymore, though. It's my absolute favorite holiday, so I have Halloween decor up inside the house all year 'round, LOL. And you can never go wrong with pumpkin-flavored everything! ^_^

We don't do much in terms of decorating or costumes, and we don't have any trick-or-treaters where we live. I'm up for horror movies though - the creepier the better. :)

Love the Halloween-themed survey. Looking forward to seeing those results. :)

I never bother decorating for Halloween (if I had kids, it would be different, but as it is, my dog doesn't care), but we get a ton of trick or treaters. I go through about 15 jumbo bags of candy every year.

I think a lot of holidays are much more enjoyable if you have kids around who enjoy the holiday in question.

We used to have blow up skeletons. Even named them - Skinny Lenny, Skinny Louis, and Skinny Lester. I have no idea what happened to them.

My kids were never really big into Halloween. None of them are candy eaters. I now do fall decorations instead of Halloween. That way I can leave them up through Thanksgiving.

Pumpkins greet our quests, but this year, no coffin, no body, no spooky sounds or lights. The house is for sale and I don't want to spook the buyers! :)

I love these surveys! Yeah, same thing has happened at my house. Kids are too old to partake anymore. I still love Halloween and this time of year.

We got over Halloween 16 years ago when we moved to New Zealand and my neighbour said, "We don't really worship the devil, we just celebrate Halloween for fun" It is barely celebrated here, and only by small children at parties. As for pumpkins, it's springtime and they are not in season.

I haven't decorated either. And yes, all holidays are what and how you make them. Enjoying yourself and family is where it's at. So, I was lame on the survey this time, couldn't think of any fill in answers. :/

I love decorating for Halloween, but I also don't have to deal w/ moody teenagers. =P

When I'm living independently again, I'm going to trick my house out for Halloween with the full nine yards. A house at the end of the cul-de-sac on my parents' street has four huge blow-ups, zombies, bones, graves, blow-up jack-o-lanterns, haunted carriages, skeletons, spiders, spiderwebs, the whole nine yards. A house across from that has a huge display of zombie dolls of various sizes, bones and body parts in a cauldron, skeletons of various animals, human skeletons, and other fun stuff.
